U is nou by so ‘n uitspanplek.

The Kampvuur Story
It is being said that in the early days the transport-rider would, after a long hard day in the sun, wind and weather, settle down next to a nice, cozy campfire with his kettle and coffee mug, because when the sun has set it was time to relax with a few cups of coffee and something to eat before settling in for the night’s rest.
You are at such a spot right now. Come and join us at our “Campfire”, have something to drink and eat and enjoy the company of your family and friends before you go home to settle in for a good night’s rest after a stressful day as a modern day transport-rider in the new millennium.
Kampvuur Restaurant is the brainchild and handcraft of its owner, Dana Blom. It developed over a period of four years from a dream and a vision into the reality inside which you find yourself right now. The whole process included hundreds of man-hours of reseach, thinking, experimenting and frustration, but by far extremely hard physical manual labour to have as a result this absolutely unigue Restaurant.
Dana and his wife Ria are people who believe that the traditions of our forefathers should be preserved, and therefore the Kampvuur Restaurant’s atmosphere and an integral part of its menu will always consist of true traditional concepts, dishes and recipes the way our forefathers used to prepare them. We would therefore like to invite you to share any traditional recipe which is not a family secret with us to enable us to eternalize it in our menu. You can even entrust your family secret recipes to us. We promise not to tell anybody.
Herewith then a last word of welcome at Kampvuur. We trust and hope that it would be such an enjoyable experience that our favorite “campfire” would also become one of yours.
